One of the things I love most about boudoir is being able to see how each woman expresses her individual style. When it comes to picking out some clothes for a boudoir session, a lot of people think that they only things they can wear things that are considered “traditional boudoir” – like fancy lingerie sets, pearls and heels.
But what if you just aren’t like that?
Bring whatever the hell you feel most comfortable in – I don’t care if that’s a ripped t-shirt and shorts, a lace bralette, or nothing at all. Your boudoir session is about YOU. Your style, your personality. Bringing the right clothes to your session is the first step in making you feel comfortable throughout – you’re going to feel the absolute best in clothes that make you feel confident. Boudoir photos mean to capture you as you are – to make you feel confident, to allow you to see the strength and beauty of your own body. As women, we live up to seemingly insurmountable expectations. It always seems that we need to look, feel, act, eat, and live a certain way, but we are all so different. Why do we all try to look the same, to confine ourselves into the same mold?
Life is way too short to be anyone but yourself. You have one body. Let’s show it all the love we possibly can.
Thank you, Renée, for being so comfortable in front of my camera, even though we just met that morning.
And thanks for making me want a fluffy red jacket.
