Marielle + Eli – Edmonton In-Home Session

I met first met Marielle at another shoot we were working on together. As we were chatting, she was showing me photos of her gorgeous home-decor-blog-worthy apartment and I marvelled at how much of her personality shone through in her home. Meeting up with her again in early February for an in-home couples session with her and her boyfriend was a dream come true. Marielle and Eli have made their little apartment into a sanctuary for themselves (and their cat, Rory) and truly infused bits of their souls into their home. We sat down for brunch with a Dutch baby, London Fogs and coffee at a table that Eli constructed himself. Over three hours, we talked and laughed and snapped some photos. Their sense of humour is second to none and they make one hell of a delicious brunch.
I love photographing couples in their own homes more than anything. It’s your safe space, where you’re at complete ease with each other – with the person you feel most at home with in the world.
