Emily + Harley | Whyte Avenue Engagement
Emily and I first met when I was looking for a tattoo artist for my Harry Potter tattoo. A lot of great tattoo artists could have done a great job with it, but I wanted someone who would also feel just as passionate about doing it. It was something that sat in the back of my mind for a couple years, and when I stumbled upon Emily’s Instagram feed, I knew I’d found my artist! Harley also has a dark mark tattoo… was it meant to be or what?
Fast forward a year and a half later, and we’re wandering the streets of Whyte Avenue on her and Harley’s 10th anniversary for their engagement session. I’m so happy they asked me to be a part of their special day, and with the company of a few friends, it was the most relaxed and joy-filled session I’ve been a part of. Emily and Harley began as high school sweethearts and it was so great to help them celebrate a milestone. The little looks they shared with each other all day just made my heart melt.
The evening ended with beers and Fuss Cupcakes at Filthy McNasty’s. We were joined by a couple friends and had some pretty serious discussions about Harry Potter and Rick and Morty.
Thanks for making this my most memorable engagement session to date, and happy 10th anniversary! I can’t wait to see the photos from your wedding next summer!
