In early November, I was asked by Edmonton designer and decor expert Cory Christopher to come down to the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and take photos of his amazing decor inspiration and decor cabin for JPL’s Christmas in November. Christmas in November is an event that has happened at Jasper Park Lodge for the past 27 years that brings together visitors and presenters from around the world. World-class chefs and personalities are brought in to teach how best to prepare food, cocktails, and decor for the Christmas season. It is a celebration of Christmas and the art of entertaining, and a great how-to in order to create the most memorable Christmas for all of your family and friends. Cory and JPL set up the Christmas store, a pop-up shop in the lower level of JPL. It was a collaboration between Pura, Justine Ma, Duchess Bake Shop, Cory himself, and many other local designers. I love the support there was for buying local – you don’t always need to order online for the best gifts!
It was such an honor to be able to capture such beautiful inspiration for Cory, as well as the presentations of chefs like Anna and Michael Olson, Vikram Vij, Mairlyn Smith, Elizabeth Baird and so many more. I would return to Christmas in November at JPL in a heartbeat. Thank you to the Jasper Park Lodge chefs and staff for providing such a warm and welcoming place to stay (and such delicious food).
