2018 Year in Review
Welcome to my 2018 year in review, a collection of my work throughout the year that is close to my heart and what I love most to photograph in the world. Below, you’ll find a crazy combination of everything, from boudoir and engagement sessions to travel photos and peeks into many weddings. I had the opportunities this year to travel more than I ever have in my life. I pushed myself harder than I ever have, learned even more, and met so many inspiring people along the way.
Celebrate everything
These days, it’s too easy to get caught up in the game of comparison. I’ve been trying to be nicer to myself. The only person I should be comparing myself against is – well, myself. Just like the episode of Friends where Monica is trying to make Thanksgiving dinner better than the year before, I’m working as hard as possible to make this year better than the last. Looking back over the year not only gives me the opportunity to identify things I need to work on, but to celebrate each and every one of the successes. It’s important to celebrate. Celebrate things done well. Celebrate mistakes made because it means you learned something new.
Thank you
2018 wouldn’t have been such a great year without all of you. To all of my clients and couples: thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for all of your support in 2018. It means the absolute world to me and it’s the reason why I get to do what I do for a living. I put my heart and soul into every session because I know you deserve the absolute best, and I want you to feel just as amazing when you view your images. Thank you so much for all of the trust you place in me. I’m already excited for what 2019 has for us all – it can only get better from here!
Some photographs in this post have been taken while second shooting for Nicole Ashley, Jade Gabrielle, Kristilee Parish and Erin Sweet. It’s been a great year to be able to work with so many incredibly talented photographers!
