Welcome to my 2017 year in review, a collection of over 100 photos from the past year that hold a special place in my heart. 2017 held a lot of new experiences and ‘firsts’ for me. I was able to travel to Portland in January for Mystic Seminars (my first conference), and I left feeling so inspired, thanks to my new friends all over the world. The night before I left for Portland, I was able to photograph my first surprise proposal. In March, I was able to travel to Mexico with Nicole for my first destination wedding experience, and I fell in love. There’s nothing quite like the excitement of travelling and experiencing a new place with your loved ones! I had a summer full of intimate weddings and so much love. Three weekends in a row late in the summer were spent travelling to Calgary, Banff and Jasper with Nicole. In my spare time, I was able to build on my boudoir portfolio and create work that I am so proud of. 2017 was a year of struggles and growth, but it was so, so worth it to be able to meet such amazing couples.
While 2017 has been less than ideal in some respects, it was also so beautiful. I hope to continue into 2018 with a focus on the small things in life that bring us happiness, time spent with loved ones and stories of friendship. Thank you so much for all of your support in 2017, and cheers to a new year!
